Imagine a world where Love is lost, a world in which to love, means to die. Imagine Love, the strongest of emotions, suffocated; forgotten, buried deep underground with those who used to know it.
“Love” is a meaningful word. It lingers in the air where other words dissolve. Initials carved into a tree, spray painted on marble walls. It is smiles and laughs. Love is passion and relief.
However, love is also danger, tears and scattered hearts: loss and sadness, abandonment. If one does not love, one can not feel. That is why, it is better for there to be no love. A world without love, is also a world without fear, for the fear of loss cannot be felt when there is nothing to lose.
Those are the principles on which the society I was born in is forged. Love was eradicated, and with it the risk of losing oneself in it. Buried deep in people’s hearts, the pain derived from love was suffocated and few were assigned the task of keeping it alive.
Free breeding became less and less common, love babies were no longer born. With time, the beauty of love was forgotten and alongside it, most emotions were erased. An apathic society was created, this is the story of how I learned they were wrong.

I am very intrigued…..
